A study had been undertaken to create linkages between the National Cancer Institute's database on cancer and the standard occupational classification used in Canada to investigate possible connections between exposure to power frequency magnetic fields and breast cancer.
RHSC provided exposure assignments for Job Titles from the CLASSIFIED INDEX (pp 27 - 182) of the Occupational Classification Manual: Census of Canada, 1971 based on the Canadian Classification and Dictionary of Occupations, Volume II.
